The market leader in facilitated drum circles

Arthur Hull, the internationally renowned percussionist, is seen by many as having conceived and developed the idea of the facilitated community drum circle. Originally, they enabled avid drummers, curious percussionists and even passers-by to come together in a circle and ‘jam’ for fun. Music was created in ‘the moment’.

The purpose of these gatherings was to express and experience music together. Drum circles are everywhere; youth groups, hospitals, churches or just on the street for no reason. There isn’t an audience, as everyone is part of the performance.

Flexible events in any location or venue

We can deliver a highly-successful facilitated event for your team, to suit your specific requirements:

• In any location – whether in the UK, USA or worldwide.

• With any size of group. Our events work for any number of participants. The smallest we have ever done was for five people and the biggest recently was for more than 1500.

• In any venue. We are happy to come to your office or, alternatively, a hotel room or conference room.

• Within any time constraint. Your time is precious so we can work within your time constraints. An event can last anything from 30 minutes to half a day.

Why our drum circles work

One of the major reasons that our drum circles are so effective is that everyone is starting from a level playing field. This means that any hierarchy is quashed, letting every participant make an equal contribution. This is not always possible in many traditional team building events.

Groups very quickly begins to gain confidence in their playing, helped by our expert facilitators. Our facilitator leads the group by using hand signals and body language. Groups quickly become an orchestra that is guided to greater and greater heights, with everyone playing together as one.

Our events take account of everyone having a different level of confidence in drumming. The magic of a drum circle is that the confident ones will initially play lots…and more pensive players will play less. The skills of our facilitators ensure that we gently bring these two elements together.

Just like in your business, there many types of people performing different roles. However small that role, it is still of value. We ensure that individual roles are isolated, just for a second, to let everyone hear just how special they are.
