Learn music and dance from a bygone era

Your somewhat surprised guests are met at the door of their drinks area by flapper girls in feather boas and shady gangster-like characters in trilbies.

Our professional actors hand out a boa to every female and a trilby to every male as they walk into Fat Sam’s Speak Easy Bar in Chicago. A live band plays cool, sultry jazz in the corner of the room.

Our actors mingle with the crowd, setting the scene, until Fat Sam himself grabs the microphone and announces to everyone…

“The Big Mafioso Boss will be here in 20 minutes”.

“You know how angry he gets..so do we all have a birthday present for him?”

Of course they don’t, but luckily one of our bar girls has an idea…”Why don’t we put on a show?”

We divide the group in two and start learning…fast! One group learns the world’s quickest Charleston dance routine, while the other group joins the jazz band to become the hand percussion section. Time is ticking…

In no time at all, we bring the groups back together for a quick dress rehearsal before the door swings open and the Big Boss arrives through the door. His high-energy birthday surprise has the entire room performing a Charleston routine accompanied by live jazz and percussion.

The day is saved! With big smiles all around, Fat Sam calls everyone through for dinner.
