Virtual entertainment for children to help support working parents
After a hectic Christmas period where it was as if the entire business world woke up to the full possibilities of virtual events, we start this year with a brand new concept to assist individuals and businesses.
Having only had a short time of employees homeschooling while trying to work themselves, we immediately received enquiries asking for help.
Clients who had enjoyed all the fun and games of our virtual events over the last six months are now asking, “Why can’t you do virtual activities with employees children to give our staff at home a break?”
Anyone working from home, dealing with constant business changes while trying to home school/entertain their children, understands just how stressful and exhausting it is.
We are now offering organisations the opportunity to reach out and help their workforce at home.
This might be just a 45-minute breather for parents to catch their breath, or a series of activities so that employees can concentrate on work or join calls without the worry of disruption.

Here are our fun activities for children:
Zoom Zoo
Our animal expert shares fascinating facts and stories with the live animals she shows the children. Giant millipedes, African Bullfrogs, and even Skunks are brought right into your front room…thankfully only via a screen!
Magic
Interactive fun with the option of a magic wand pack sent to each home for young wizards to learn a trick within the workshop.
The Chocolate Factory
Packs are sent out to children so our ‘choco’ expert guides them in making a chocolate pizza and a chocolate lolly.
TikTok Dance Session
Led by our very cool choreographer from X Factor and the Brit Awards. kids learn a bespoke routine from the dance sensation that has swept the world. This has been very popular for birthday parties too.
Disney Singalong
A costumed princess takes you through all the Disney hits. It’s a great reason for a fancy dress party. Again, this has been a popular birthday choice.
Professor Puzzle’s Amazing Laboratory
An interactive science workshop with pops, fizzes, and bangs. An option to send out experiment packs for children to join in is also available.
Children Meditation Session
A little bit of calm, positivity and breathing techniques taught by our expert. This session promotes resilience and even better sleep.
Boogie Musical Bingo
Speedy fingers and open ears are needed as the music hits go by. With a virtual bingo card sent to every child’s device, they simply tap or click when they recognise the hit songs we play. There is lots of fun and interaction. Your high-energy host wants to see singing and even dancing throughout this party atmosphere activity.
Virtual Escape Room
This is perfect for teens to play with their parents. Can they all escape the virtual locked room by finding and solving the clues? Working against the clock in a scenario with shelves, drawers, and cupboards to explore, teams in their breakout rooms have to work together to win.
Mind Reading Magic
For children aged 10+, this is a fascinating experience. Our very own Derren Brown will know the unknowable and bewilder the audience with his mind-reading skills. Expect gasps, shocked faces and laughter throughout this amazing session.
We have taken our most appropriate virtual activities and simply adapted them for younger people. We are using the talent and expertise of the many artists, musicians and actors we regularly use.
With the birth of a whole new industry of virtual events, we already have these people available, bringing to life your virtual team building, conferences and award shows.

Our virtual events for children are making a huge difference
Aside from needing the time to work, sometimes it is also hard for parents to wrack their brains and come up with new things for their children to do. We all feel guilty when children are just sat watching TV or playing video games.
With the virtual activities above, children can now try new things, learn different skills or just be entertained in a stimulating way.
While these activities can be available to single households, we allow multiple participants from the same company to join via Zoom. This means that entire teams or departments can take advantage of the one event. Or, if there is a range of different ages, we can have two or more activities delivered at the same time.
Here is a practical example that arose the other day. Our client needed a critical video call with the entire team. With upcoming changes in their organisation needing frank discussions, clear undisturbed input was required from everyone present. The employees had children of different ages at home requiring attention so here was our solution.
We organised multiple activities going out at once and all in sync. Parents could then first settle the children with their respective Zoom presenter, before joining their important call. It was a win-win solution, with the children getting a treat activity and employees being able to give their full attention to the call.
We have adapted the costs for these virtual activities to make them accessible for large and small organisations. This is a real show of support from employers to their workforce as we all battle through this extraordinary time.
We can tell by the positive response we have had that these virtual activities are going to be incredibly popular as HR departments all over the globe are inundated with anxious and struggling staff at home.
We all thought the world might be back to normal by now, but the reality is life is going to be similar if not the same for at least six months and perhaps even beyond. We at Creative Team Events are using our strengths and expertise to help as best as we can.
