Brushes, materials and your canvas at the ready, get set to create a piece of art that, when joined with all the other adjacent teams, creates The Big Picture. Will all the different canvas sections fit and be coordinated and coloured? Will it all eventually come together to make one coherent visual display? It’s up to each team to work quickly and smartly to finish this challenge in time. This is the moment to let your inner artist out and all your creative juices flow. The Big Surprise
Your group will walk back into your meeting room or conference to find it totally transformed. Every table will sport a blank canvas and a wide selection of paints, decorations and crafting materials. Our art facilitator will quickly brief everyone on the task at hand and then it’s all sleaves rolled up and off to high-energy creative work.
The overall challenge maybe to artfully recreate a huge version of your organisation’s logo, conference vision or team values.
Getting employees to artistically copy or interpret a company vision or core values can be an effective and subtle way of reenforcing them and making them clear.
The Big Purpose
Whatever subject you choose, each table will have their very own section of the complete picture to be responsible for. Therefore, just like any organisation, each table must understand, first, how to accomplish their specific role and, secondly, how it fits with all the other sections.
Watch in amazement as your colleagues knuckle down to serious paint mixing, brush experimenting and even sequin counting!
With all the ideas, concepts and directions from individual teams fit with each other’s canvasses? They must remember that the final art work will be mounted section-by-section together to create one entire piece of work. Tables need to start talking to each other early, work together and expand their view of the end result.
The Big Process
This activity is built around fun and pushing creative limits. Creating a piece of art by using paints and textiles lets colleagues work in a very new and different environment. Not everyone wants to be an artist, and each team will require certain people to take ownership of a variety of roles. In the end, it’s only through clear thinking, good communications and working together that everyone’s efforts will come to fruition. Only then will we see the final Big Picture.
The Big Reveal
Sometimes, groups will see their completed Big Picture evolve before their very eyes. Sometimes, after a well-earned coffee break, they will walk back to the room to view their assembled masterpiece. You never know but it may even arrive one day to hang on your office wall!
The Big Picture gets people, engaged and working together. It allows multiple teams to succeed and feel a sense of achievement. It brings a vibrant creative energy to any meeting or conference and gets good ideas bouncing around.
This team activity is very flexible and able to adapt to fit perfectly with most agendas and conference/meeting themes.
Although this team activity does require some set-up time, we are experts in creating a ‘pop-up’ creative art studio out of your meeting room over lunch or even coffee break.
This exciting experience can accommodate hundreds of delegates or just a handful. Wherever you hold your event in the world, we can easily transport all the materials and equipment in a cost effective manner.
