Welcome back everyone to a fresh new year. Happy New Year! Over the holiday, we were busy moving offices to a new and bigger space. Now we are all in and set up, we are hoping (as I am sure you are) for a great year ahead. January is a very busy month for us, as companies return to work and want to inspire and motivate their workforce in 2014. Because the weather impedes most outside activities at this time of year, we offer many indoor interactive team options.
This week, we travelled up and down the length of the country, delivering a predominantly percussive selection of drumming, boomwhackers and Clap Happy!
Our very first event of the year was in a wonderful boutique hotel in the Lake District. Combining luxury hotel service training with a high-energy drumming session to close, participants enjoyed a very powerful team experience.
Owen, who was Head Facilitator for a 200-person conference in Gatwick had a surprise when the CEO of the global organization arrived unannounced and then proceeded to have a great time participating in Owen’s boomwhacker finale!
On Thursday, we were very honoured to deliver a special event in Harlow College. Shining young business student Alvin Retallack (left) won an achievement award and decided to share it with everyone in his year by bringing us in to give everyone a team experience that they would never forget.
We had a fantastic drumming session with about 100 business students and staff, with lots of fun and new shared observations on teamwork.
To finish our first week back, it was a very early start for me, travelling to Ascot with two huge bags of rubber gloves. I stepped onto the stage at 9am with only 15 minutes to transform 300 delegates into a clapping orchestra!
In my next blog, I will have the rest of a very exciting January to tell you about, which takes us to the heat of the Caribbean and the frozen temperatures of the American Midwest.
